The 12th World Conference on Titanium (Ti-2011) is to be held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing, China, from June 19 to June 24, 2011, hosted by the Nonferrous Metals Society of China, with cooperation of the other 7 International Organizing Committee (IOC) members from the 8 societies of 7 countries, including: UK(IOM3), USA (TMS, ASM), CIS (Titan. association), Japan(JIM), Germany (DGM), France(SF2M), China(NFSOC).

Ti-2011 will adopt the traditional style of the world conferences on titanium. Seven plenary lectures will be given by the IOC members, and fifteen keynote lectures associated with the twelve conference topics will also be presented by world famous specialists recommended b the IOC Members.

To meet the needs of the fast development of titanium industry, at the end of the conference there will be a forum and a workshop arranged on non-aero and aero applications as well as markets of titanium alloys, of which the non-aero one "Sino-Japanese Forum on Titanium Non-Aero Applications and Markets" is co-organized by the Chinese Titanium Association and the Japan Titanium Society, and the aero one “Workshop on the Future of Aeronautical Titanium Alloys & Technologies” is co-organized by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China and the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd., supported by other top aircraft and engine manufacturers in the world. The two special forums will help to attract more industrial participants, strengthen the contacts between titanium researchers and the users, expand the application scale and develop new application fields for titanium and titanium alloy.
