Abstract:
Recent research progress in hot hydrostatic extrusion of both sintered powder metallurgy hard metallic materials and powder compacts is reviewed. Both the fundamentals and the technical features and application potentials of the technique are introduced, and the factors affecting the formation and stability of the lubricant layer during extrusion are analyzed.
