Abstract:
Due to the huge industrial prospects of organic materials with optical, electrical, and magnetic functionalities, it has become an important research direction that attracted many researchers’ interest and has produced a series of significant achievements. Research in organic optoelectronic materials is an inter discipline subject that involving physics, chemistry, materials, information, electronics and even biology. One of the important goals in the study of organic optoelectronic materials is to find out the relationship between the specific properties and structures by using advanced methods and tools, which will provide necessary information for the design and modification of desirable functional materials. In these activities the crystallography played a critical role in terms of understanding of the working mechanism of the materials, exploring the relationship between structures and functionalities, and designing materials with specific functionalities. In this thesis, we present some work in our group about organic optoelectronic materials, with the purpose of showing the indispensable role of crystallographic in the process of exploring the relationship between the optical and structural properties, especially in the investigations about the origins of some special phenomena.
