- Conductive hydrogel is a new type of composite hydrogel which combines conductive medium with hydrophilic matrix and has flexible and electrochemical properties. Conductive hydrogels are ideal materials for wearable devices due to their good moisture, antifreeze, mechanical properties and self-healing properties. This study focuses on the latest advancements of multifunctional conductive hydrogels, and summarizes the effective methods to optimize the moisturizing and antifreezing properties, mechanical properties, self-healing properties and self-adhesive properties of conductive hydrogels. The advancements of the application of conductive hydrogels in smart wearable devices are highlighted. Finally, the challenges and future development of multifunctional conductive hydrogels are discussed.
