Abstract:
Micro/nano fabrication of inorganic/organic composite scaffold for tissue engineering is a biomaterial research field arisen in recent years. Compared to conventional fabrication technique for biomaterials and tissue engineering materials, micro/nano fabrication, which has been integrated with advanced techniques such as micron/nano technology, computer aided design and digital manufacturing, provides new technical routes for the development of novel biomedical materials. Current situation and developing trends of biomedical materials, especially micro/nano fabrication technique of tissue engineering and tissue repair materials, are reviewed, mainly including realizations and approaches of micro/nanosize biomaterials, digital design of tissue engineering scaffolds, as well as new techniques for digital manufacturing of tissue engineering scaffolds. Moreover, a strategic outlook is proposed for priority areas for development in new techniques of digital micro/nano fabrication of tissue engineering (repair) materials in China.
