Abstract:
Supramolecular gel is a kind of new intelligent selfassembly soft material. The chirality has played an important role in constructing chiral information from molecular level to nanometer fiber level. In most cases, chiral information is directly constructed from molecular building to the nanometer fiber. There are also some interesting phenomenon, which is that two mixed two enantiomers can get different chiral fiber structure, even someone building blocks with no chiral can also get chiral selfassembly structures. Studying chiral selfassembly not only reveals the process of switching chiral information from molecules to micro/nano chiral fiber, but also promotes the development of novel chiral materials and micro/nano devices. The application of fiber chiral in chiral recognition, asymmetric catalysis, biological mineralization, biological materials, and other areas has been paid attention. This paper summarizes recent progress in the chiral fiber assembly, mainly on structure and function of the chiral supramolecular gel.
