经动脉化疗栓塞治疗作为中晚期肝癌的标准治疗方式,主要通过栓塞剂阻塞肿瘤供血血管、同时靶向递送化疗药物来杀伤肿瘤。但传统栓塞材料仍存在功能单一、栓塞效果差、肿瘤反应不佳等局限,严重限制了疗效突破与治疗范式升级,亟待开发新一代栓塞材料以推动肝癌治疗的进步。系统梳理了从传统栓塞材料到新型功能化材料体系的研究脉络,总结了现有栓塞体系面临的主要问题与新型栓塞材料的设计理念,重点聚焦于栓塞性能优化、显影追踪功能、药物控制释放、免疫微环境调控、多种疗法协同等新型功能化栓塞材料的前沿进展,并对未来的发展方向进行了展望,旨在对肝癌栓塞领域的研究提供更多的思路。

Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) is the standard therapy for intermediate and advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Its therapeutic efficacy primarily relies on embolic agents to occlude tumor-feeding arteries and enable targeted delivery of chemotherapeutic drugs. However, the clinical outcomes of conventional embolic materials are often limited by their single functionality, suboptimal embolization efficacy, and inadequate tumor response. These shortcomings have severely hindered breakthroughs in therapeutic efficacy and the paradigm shift in treatment strategies, creating an urgent need for next-generation embolic materials. This review systematically delineates the evolution from conventional to novel functionalized embolic systems. We summarize the key challenges of existing embolization therapy platforms and the design rationales for new materials, with a focus on recent advances in functionalization for enhanced embolization, imaging visibility, controlled drug release, immunomodulation, and combination therapies.Finally, future research directions are discussed to inspire further innovation in the field of HCC embolization.
