Abstract:
 Research on rare earth doped vanadate luminescent materials has become one of the hot spots recently because of their stable luminous efficiency illuminated by UV and VUV. Therefore, they have been applied successfully in the fields of LED, CRT, bio probe, nanophotonic devices, optical master, etc. Rareearth doped vanadate luminescent materials will step further into a new development phase along with the progress of nanotechnology and in-depth study of luminescent mechanism. The research status, synthesis, luminescent mechanism, and applications of the materials are discussed and their development tendency was predicted.
